God gave me two little angels Andre and Demitri!
Thank you Heavenly Father for sending me my little pieces of heaven. With all my heart and love I would like to inform you both the huge role you play in my life, the love that your presence has generated in me is inexplicable, that goes beyond any feeling, (which you’ll be able to feel the day you become parents) you have changed my life fully and there is nothing in this world that inspires and motivates me more to be a better man, father, friend and guide to you. I learned to appreciate many things differently. Since your lives are so important to me, my assets and my priorities have all been changed just for you.
My loves, you both have helped me appreciate how simple and great life can be without luxuries. The smile on your faces, watching you run and play are one of the many experiences that are priceless. Now that time has become very important to me I would like to share as much time as possible by your side, I would like to have more free time and I fight for it every day. Unfortunately now a days work has taken the reins of human society. Believe when I say that what I do is necessary to provide you with a quality life needed and not one that solely is based on quantity or coarseness. I wish I could stop time, but it slips out of my hands and you two are growing up so fast. It seems like it was just yesterday when I had the opportunity to see you both born, but I enjoy every second of this divine blessing God has granted me.
In this space that I have dedicated to you with all my love, I want to say that I adore you both with all my heart, I am very happy to share this life with you. I would not change anything in this magnificent journey and I pray God grants me an excellent memory to remember every detail until the day I die. This summer July of 2013 we built our second project “pirate ship” which was an inevitable experience and we had the opportunity to do it together, both of you helped me lose the pencil and the tape measure several times, as well as the different type of tools we used, but helped pass me the screws for the wood. One of my favorite moments was the actual painting. Wow! Let me tell you that was unforgettable, I sincerely hope that we can build our love and friendship for many years to come just like in our project, as a “Team”.
My advice:
Take care and recognize people and “friends”, two faced ones that unfortunately exist, that apparently pretend to care about your well being and affection but in reality do not . Also be careful of the people that bring noise and confusion, these people like to speak out loud without having the slightest idea of what they are talking about, they regularly speak only by the habit of talking. I hope to earn your trust to guide you at all times in any consultations and hopeful that God will provide me with many more years of life to be there when you both need me the most.
Be guidance and inspiration to anyone, the kind of person who is polite and respectful, the one who is always welcomed with a smile,happiness, joy, and a strong loving hug.
Be mindful of the words you use to express yourselves, these can destroy in seconds and trying to reverse the effect is almost impossible, never lie because at the end of the day you will only be lying to yourself and the truth always stands out sooner or later. Never discriminate or judge without first looking at yourself in the mirror.
Race, color, religion, appearance or economic status does not make the person, we are all humans and we all have the same right to live this life in harmony, the world is our home without barriers or boundaries of any sort.
Problems will always be around, it is better to face these intelligently and learn from them instead of getting caught up in the same situation, just like I hope to have the good fortune to have your trust and advise you to move forward.
Alcohol has been around for centuries and plays a large role in our generations, I hope to be there to educate you both about it when the time is right, as well as inform you of the consequences of how this can destroy you if you abuse it and don’t learn how to control it; do not let inexperienced friends or people you don’t really know tell you what to do, please seek guidance of those who want the best for you. Drugs, what can I say, unfortunately are more accessible than alcohol today, I’m sure you will come across it some day. Please do not fall into this highly addictive habit, it is the worst thing you can do to your body physically and mentally. I was around drugs also but I was always afraid of them because of the consequences and the damage they cause to destroy everything in your future, please with all my heart don’t fall for this unpleasant habit, you have a beautiful life to live and what better way to do it than in a healthy way.
I forgot something else, no cigarettes please, this can kill you, it damages your lungs, your breath and ruins the appearance of your teeth, (I’m sure there are many more reasons to add but these four are more than enough) keep away from this nasty habit.
Sports are great, be active, the human body and its capabilities never seizes to amaze me, practice and give it your all but don’t fall into obsession, do it with passion, remember people who take care of themselves and practice healthy methods will be the ones who flourish. Once again there are no barriers or boundaries, the world has only one team which is humanity. Sports are there for fun not to create obsession.
In this world abundance exists for each of us, please do not take what does not belong to you (Respect the rights of others is peace as Benito Juarez once said) and do not waste your time and intelligence trying to seek that purpose or people who want you to.
Wars and conflicts are for ignorant humans, we rely on our mouth, brain and understanding to reach any agreement for mutual benefit, there is no species more intelligent than ours. You will never need strength for change, love is the most powerful tool in the world.
When you decide to work, do it for a purpose and not for corruption. And most importantly, do something that you are passionate about. Remember that if you start something seek always to complete it, whatever you decide to do always do it with all your effort, perfection and experience will come with practice.
People are not objects, do not take advantage of their feelings or waste their time for any reason, life is full karma (I strongly believe) and sooner or later you will get back what you give, therefore give good as you get, honesty is your best friend.
Being loud will not get you anywhere, what will is the way you put your words together. Think before you open your mouth, remaining silent does not mean that you are wrong, but sometimes it is well worth it because you know that opening up will not get you anywhere. Avoiding is not a cowardly act.
Always remember that you both are brothers and have each other, I’m sure you’ll have disagreements but never stop holding your hands and never give up on each other. Life is short and not worth wasting it on disagreements, always make sure to make amends.
Women are indispensable in this life, treat them like how you would want others treating your mother, they are worth infinity because without them we would not exist.
Let me share this memory with you, I was around 7-8 years old and went to cut my hair with your grandmother Silvia, at a place called “The Giraffes” located in Zone 1 Guatemala City, Samaritana building we used to call it; at the barbers there was a lady probably in her late 70′s early 80′s sitting with the barber who would cut my hair frequently. This barber would cut my hair the way I loved it ‘Mushroom style”, we entered the place and chose to sit and wait. My mother approached me and said: “I believe this lady is going to take a while.” We watched as people would come and go but no one approached the barber with the lady who was getting her hair cut. I decided to stand up and ask the barber who was the next customer in line.
-”Yes kiddo, how can I help you,” ‘he replied.
-“After “the lady” who are you helping next?”
-”Well, you, I’ll be happy to serve you right after this lady since we are almost done.”
I turned around and on my way to sit back in the chair next to my mother, I remember what that “lady” said to the Barber:
My mother greeted me with a hug and a kiss on my forehead, that was the first time I knew the meaning of the word gentleman (after my mom explained it to me) and I felt great being able to hear an outsider speak well of me after hearing the few words I said.
Be reserved and know with whom to share your personal experiences with, no one needs to know the intimate details of your lives, that’s between you and the person you believe you can trust.
Love, adore and respect your mother, she also loves you wholeheartedly just like me, she always wants the best for you, although sometimes she might seem a little overprotective, never forget to remind her how much love and appreciation you have for all her efforts and being there for you. Never be reserved, demonstrate the love and affection towards your family, friends, and others who you appreciate.
In each one of you there resides a mindset of choosing the correct path, even if the difficulty of a situation seems to override everything, I can assure you that this will be worth it at the end, being able to try something new and having it not work out is just another learning experience. There are always eyes watching us from above, and at the end of the day we are always given unlimited blessings when we make a difference and much better if it is done for others.
I have lived and made many decisions during my life and therefore want to share my experiences as well as what I have learned from them.
With these values be men and I assure you that with this there will be unlimited doors opening.
Unfortunately I would have wanted to receive a father figure for a longer period but your grandfather Juan’s health was affected by cancer in his blood and I did not have the opportunity and the time to enjoy his presence. Having the opportunity to tell him many things, expressing my feelings and love, that I am also sure that he probably wanted to tell me and would have enjoyed our presence a little bit more before leaving. (You know that your grandfather did not accept the idea of leaving this world, he did not want to die, he was saddened by the thought of leaving us alone) Rest in peace my beloved father and we will remember you always Mr. Juan R.
May God provide me with many more years of life to be there when you need me and many blessing to be with you my whole life. If I ever made or make a mistake please I want you to tell me and if I’m unaware of the reason because you decide to put it in the past I hope you will forgive me, I promise if I know the reason of my errors I will tell you both and work on not committing the same error ever again.
This is the reason why I decided to start this little movement between everyone. Therefore, do not leave anything unsaid now that we have the opportunity to say it and enjoy this beautiful life. It is quite simple to do the right thing and really worth it without any complications. The difference is in our hands!
